Would someone please be kind enough to explain the rationale for repairing roads in Kingston and St Andrew? Why is it that some roads are repaired in a matter of weeks while others languish in a state of disrepair indefinitely? A case in point is Hillcrest Avenue and Marley Road. It seems that repairs to potholes are done very quickly on Hillcrest Avenue while Marley Road has been left in a terrible state for over a year now.
Efforts to have repairs effected have fallen on the deaf ears of the KSAC, the councillor for the area and the Member of Parliament. In this the 21st century, is it not possible for a timetable for road repairs to be established and published so that residents of the respective areas can have a reasonable idea as to when their roads will be repaired? It seems that the more things 'change' the more they remain the same!!!
