The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists that the Fair Prospect to Ecclesdown main road in eastern Portland is now impassable. Blockage of the roadway is caused by an over-turned truck which was transporting material along the corridor.

 

A crane is now at the scene of the blockage along with welders who are working to remove the truck and this is expected to be cleared within 24 hours.

 

This roadway is the alternative route between Fair Prospect and Muirton in eastern Portland

 

The NWA is advising motorists not to use this roadway and obey the posted warning signs.
