The National Works Agency (NWA) is reporting that heavy rainfall in eastern Portland and the Rio Grande Valley during the past twenty four hours has resulted in blockage of several roadways.

Fallen trees are partially blocking sections of the Port Antonio to Nonsuch main road reducing it to single lane. In the Rio Grande Valley, blocked drains are causing inundation along the Windsor to Moore Town main road and landslides are blocking the roadway in the community of Seaman’s Valley.

Landslides are also blocking the roadway in an area called London along the Moore Town to Cornwall Barracks main road. The Seaman’s Valley to Millbank main road is also blocked by landslides in the Alligator Church community. The NWA has dispatched personnel to these areas in an effort to restore single lane access.

Meanwhile, in Port Antonio blocked drains along the Folly to Boundbrook and Allan Avenue have caused inundation of the roadway. In western Portland wash down silt and debris have reduced the Orange Bay to Windsor Castle main road to single lane while blocked drains have resulted in inundation along sections of this roadway
