The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising the public that vehicular movement along a section of Constant Spring Road and Maxfield Avenue in St. Andrew will be curtailed this weekend.

In respect of Constant Spring Road, the section where it is intersected by West Kings House Road will accommodate single lane traffic, heading in a northerly direction (from the direction of Eastwood Park Road). Similar reduction to single lane traffic is also slated to occur along Maxfield Avenue, where it intersects with Rousseau Road.

These traffic changes will be in effect starting 8:00 am on Saturday and should see normal traffic movements returning to the areas by 6:00pm on Sunday.

Manager Communication and Customer Services at the NWA, Stephen Shaw says that the changes are being made in order to facilitate work on Manholes in the two areas, as part of a 12.6 million dollar programme. Under the Routine Maintenance – Drainage Improvement Programme, several manhole covers and gratings are being rehabilitated in the Corporate Area.

Motorists and pedestrians are being advised to proceed with caution during the period that the work is being undertaken and to obey the instructions of flag persons and posted warning signs.
