The NWA Announces Plans to Construct a New Bridge in Cave, Westmoreland

The National Works Agency (NWA) is announcing plans to construct a new bridge in Cave, Westmoreland. This new structure will replace the single lane bridge which is currently in use. This bridge will be constructed as part of efforts to improve the corridor between Ferris Cross and Scotts’ Cove in Westmoreland.

According to the NWA, the orginal structure will be demolished to make way for the construction of the new bridge. The roadway in the vicnity of the bridge will be realigned in order to improve the safety and ease with which persons traverse the corridor.

The NWA says that the work being done on the Cave  Bridge complements the 1.4 billion dollar Scotts Cove to Ferris Cross road rehabilitation project which is currenlty underway. Under this project, several drains are being improved and the road surface repaired.
