The National Works Agency is undertaking a multimillion dollar road improvement project along the 4.9 km stretch of roadway, between Parks Road and Rock Hall in St. Andrew.

Communication and Customer Services Manager at the NWA, Stephen Shaw, says that this project is valued at approximately $8 million, and represents part of the Agency’s on going efforts to provide a safe and reliable road network. He addded that the project involves the bushing of verges, the cleaning of drains and the patching and local rehabiliation of sections of the roadway.

Mr. Shaw says that the project is being executed by one of the Ageny’s Force account Teams, through financing received the Road Maintenace Fund.

Consequent to these works, road users may experience delays as they traverse the Parks Road to Rock Hall corridor, between the hours of 9:00 am to 4:00 pm daily over the next three weeks. Motorists are advised to obey the posted warning signs and instructions of flag persons.
