The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising that access has been restored to the Fern Gully main road temporarily during the holiday season, between today, Thursday, December 22, 2011 and Tuesday, January 03, 2012.

Traffic traveling north bound or in the direction of Ocho Rios, will be allowed single lane access through the gully. South bound traffic, that is traffic travelling from the direction of Ocho Rios / Milford Road, will use Breadnut Hill, entering at its intersection with Fern Gully.

Two-way traffic will be maintained on the Breadnut Hill main road.

Motorists are reminded that large trucks and buses are not allowed to use the Fern Gully and should continue to use the designated truck route through Chalky Hill or the Lime Hall main road.

The NWA is advising motorists to obey all posted warning signs along the route and the instructions of flag persons.
