Temporary Traffic Changes Scheduled for Bull Bay in St. Andrew

The National Works Agency (NWA), along with the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) and China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC), will tomorrow, Tuesday, February 6, 2024 be implementing traffic changes along the Bull Bay main road. The changes, which will be in effect between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., are to facilitate the Official Road Opening Event for the Southern Coastal Highway Improvement Project (SCHIP) Package B (ii), which runs from Harbour View in St. Andrew to Yallahs Bridge in St. Thomas.

The following changes will be in effect:-                                                                          

Closure of the westbound lanes (towards St. Andrew) between Bull River Bridge at Sugar Loaf Hill and the Greenvale Road (Cane River Road) intersection.

 

The eastbound lanes from the Greenvale Road intersection at 9 Miles and Bull River Bridge on Sugar Loaf Hill will be converted to two-way traffic.

 

The roadway towards Eleven Miles will continue to accommodate two way traffic.

 

The public is hereby advised to comply with the instructions given by officers of the Jamaica Constabulary Force manning the affected intersections and road closure points.
