The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising the motoring public that traffic heading towards Half-Way-Tree along Hagley Park Road has been diverted on to West Road, and East Road to exit on to Hagley Park Road by way of either Elspeth Avenue or Carpenter Road.

According to Manager, Communication and Customer Services at NWA, Stephen Shaw the traffic change is necessary to facilitate ongoing drainage improvement work along the corridor between Clunies and Keesing Avenues. He says, these works will continue into next week.

He however explains that the general infrastructural works, which form part of the larger Hagley Park Road Improvement Project, will continue for the next few months along the northbound lane (heading towards Half Way Tree). These works include the upgrading of the potable water supply lines as well as the installation of sewer lines.

The NWA is reminding the public that as activities continue on this phase of the Project traffic changes may be implemented from time to time to facilitate the progress of works. The Agency is urging the motoring public to monitor the media for updates on traffic changes and apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
