The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists wishing to travel to or from the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston to expect delays. This as an accident has resulted in a light-pole being dislodged, partially blocking the Palisadoes main road. The accident is associated with the US$65 – million project that is now underway along a section of the corridor.

Teams from the contracting firm China Harbour Engineering Limited and the Jamaica Public Service Company are now at the location working to have the area cleared to facilitate its full reopening. The roadway is expected to be fully re-opened by mid-night.

Motorists are being advised to exercise extreme caution in using the corridor at this time. Persons who are booked to travel from the Norman Manley Airport are also being advised to add at least another 30 minutes to their normal travel time to take their flights.
