The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising that the Bull Bay main road in the vicinity of Eleven Miles, St. Thomas will be closed for two hours tomorrow morning. The road will be closed between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 5:00a.m.in order to install drainage pipes across the corridor.

The work to be undertaken forms part of the NWA’s effort to replace two Fords in the community. Two Box Culverts are being built to replace the Fords. The Eleven Miles Fords have been a source of major discomfort, as the roadway often becomes impassable, cutting off access to Morant Bay and Kingston.

Manager, Communication and Customer Services at the NWA, Stephen Shaw says the 135 million dollar project which started in March should be completed by the end of the year.

He is advising persons who may require the use of the Eleven Miles road between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. tomorrow, to plan their movements with the closure in mind, as there are no suitable alternatives.
