The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists that the Grantham to Trout Hall main road in North West Clarendon is now impassable. This is due to a massive landslip which is blocking a section of the roadway near to the community of Grantham

The landslip is a result of road construction activities along Cabbage Hill Road in the community of Grantham adjacent to the location where the blockage occurred.

The alternative route for motorists travelling from the direction of Spaldings towards Frankfield is Seychelles, Andrew Hill, then onto Frankfield. The reverse obtains for motorists travelling from the direction of Frankfield towards Spaldings.

Manager of Communication and Customer Services at the NWA Stephen Shaw says a work team has been dispatched to the location in order to clear the roadway. Clearance is expected to be completed by Friday, July 24, 2009.

Motorists are advised to obey the instructions of flag persons and to use the alternative route.
