The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists that the Grant’s Pen Ford, located along Grant’s Pen Road, will be closed for three days, from Friday, May 22 to Sunday, May 24, 2009. Grant’s Pen Road links Constant Spring Road to Shortwood Road and Upper Waterloo Road in St. Andrew.
The Ford is being closed to facilitate repairs by the National Works Agency and will be reopened on Monday May 25, 2009.
The alternative route for motorists travelling from upper Constant Spring Road towards Shortwood Road is through Lower Charlton Ford, which is located along Charlton Road. Charlton Road is located off Constant Spring Road in the vicinity of Mary Brown’s Corner.
Motorists are advised not to attempt use of the Grant’s Pen Ford during the repair works as it will be impassable.
