The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising operators of heavy duty vehicles who now use the Ford in Harbour View, St. Andrew that the facility will be closed at mid-day on Saturday, October 18. The roadway will be reopened at 5:00 am on Sunday.
The Ford is being closed to facilitate works by E. Pihl and Sons. The company is currently constructing another Ford closer to the existing Bailey Bridge. This new Ford is expected to be commissioned intro service in another two weeks and will replace the one now being used by the truckers.The NWA is also reminding operators of heavy vehicles that access through the community of Harbour View is only allowed between the hours of 5:00 am and 7:00 pm daily.
