The National Works Agency (NWA) will be closing a section of the Junction main road in St. Mary tomorrow, Wednesday, August 11. The roadway will be closed for two hours, between 12 noon and 2:00pm in the community of Devon Pen, in order to facilitate the relaying of a damaged culvert
Manager of Communication and Customer Services at the NWA, Stephen Shaw says the two feet plastic culvert was damaged by fire of unknown origins and must be replaced immediately, in order to ensure the safety of the traveling public
Mr. Shaw says there is no alternate route and is therefore advising persons intending to travel along the roadway from Toms River to Broadgate tomorrow, to schedule their trips outside of the period of closure
He says the NWA is also urging users of the roadway to obey the posted warning signs and signals of the flag-persons.
