The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising that, on Sunday, August 25, 2024, motorists traversing the Long Hill main road in St. James may experience minor delays. This is as the Agency works to trim overhanging tress located along the corridor.
Community Relations Officer for the NWA’s Western Region, Janel Ricketts, says there are several trees overhanging the corridor, which serve to reduce the integrity of the asphalt concrete surface. As such, the Agency is working to trim the overhanging trees along the length of the corridor.
Ms. Ricketts says that during the period of works, the targeted section of the roadway will be periodically reduced to single-lane access.
Motorists are being advised to obey the posted warning signs and instructions of flag persons.
