The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists travelling through the town of Old Harbour, St. Catherine this Sunday, June 28, 2009 to expect delays in using the main road.  Motorists traveling through the town between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. will experience the delays, due to milling and reinstatement road works, which are being undertaken on behalf of the NWA by contractors Pavement & Structures Limited.

The works form part of the $141 million project to overlay the main road from Gutters to Freetown and is the first corridor to be resurfaced under the Government of Jamaica Periodic Maintenance Programme.

The alternative route is the Vineyards Toll Road.

The NWA is advising motorists to proceed with caution and obey the instructions of flag persons and posted warning signs, while the work is in progress.
