The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists to expect delays while travelling along the Sir Florizel Glasspole Boulevard in eastern Kingston, effective Monday, September 17, 2012. This as the NWA reduces a section of western carriageway to single-lane access, within the vicinity of the Carib Cement Company.

Acting Communication and Customer Services Manager at the NWA, Colin Morrison, says this temporary disruption, which will be in effect for one (1) week, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily, is necessary to facilitate underground drainage improvement works and the rehabilitation of a section of this roadway.

Mr. Morrision says the works to be undertaken along the Sir Florizel Glasspole Boulevard form part of a larger programme funded by the Road Maintenance Fund (RMF), to address drainage improvement in the Kingston Metropolitan Region.

Works are expected to be completed on Friday, September 21, 2012.

The NWA is advising motorists to proceed with caution along this corridor during the period of works; and to obey posted warning signs and the directions of flag persons.
