Multi-million Dollar Road and Drainage Improvement Projects nearing Completion in the Parish of Hanover

The National Works Agency (NWA) is finalizing several road and drainage improvement projects valued at approximately twenty million dollars ($20 million) in the parish of Hanover. Repairs are expected to be completed by the end of the month on the Cascade to Cash Hill roadway in Eastern Hanover and nine other road sections in the parish.

According to the NWA the Cascade to Cash Hill project is valued at approximately thirteen point eight million dollars ($13.8 million) and involves the rehabilitation of three point six kilometers of roadways using Double Surface Dressing and the improvement of the drainage features in the area.

The project is being executed by one of the Agency’s Force Account Teams through the Constituency Development Fund.

The NWA is also in the final stages of completion of a major routine maintenance and patching programme along several road sections in the parish of Hanover. This programme which is valued at approximately six point three million dollars ($6.3 million) involves the cleaning of drains, the bushing of verges, and the patching of critical road sections in the parish.

This programme targets sections of the Cascade to Jericho main road, the stretch from Kingsvale to Prospect and the Flint River to Cascade main road in the parish.
