Residents of Montego Bay and its environs are being given the opportunity to comment on the major traffic changesthat are to be implemented in that western city.

The National Works Agency, in April of this year had announced plans to minimize the problem of congestion being experienced by motorists in Montego Bay. As part of the plans, some seventeen intersections will be signalized and some corridors converted to one-way. The Agency has formulated two circulation plans that members of the public are being invited to review and provide feedback to the National Works Agency.
Persons wishing to view the proposed plans can do so by logging onto the NWA’s website atwww.nwa.gov.jm.

Communication Officer at the National Works Agency, Havenol Douglas, says the comment from members of the public will be used to come up with a final circulation plan for Montego Bay.
She says the Traffic Management Plan for Montego Bay is expected to be rolled-out by the end of September this year.
