The National Works Agency is advising motorists that as of this Sunday, April 29, traffic flow through the intersection of Dunrobin and Dukharan Avenues in Constant Spring Gardens, Kingston will be controlled with the aid of electronic signals.

Stephen Shaw, Manager of Communication and Customer Services at the National Works Agency says, signalization of this intersection is a continuation of a $50 million Traffic Management Programme. Implementation of this programme began in January and seeks to improve traffic movement along major corridors in the Kingston Metropolitan Region.

Mr. Shaw says this is the third of twelve major corridors and intersections identified as causing motorists to experience excessive delays to be signalized. The other two are Seaward Drive/ Molynes Road in Molynes Gardens and Stanton Terrace.

He says the Agency’s plan is to carry out the improvements corridor by corridor. Other intersections to be signalized include Woodglen Drive/Hagley Park Road, Tarrant Drive/Molynes Road, Spanish Town Road/Waltham Park Road and Trinidad Terrace/Knutsford Boulevard in New Kingston.
