NWA to Dismantle Dry River Bailey Bridge in Harbour View

The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising pedestrians, cyclists and motorists that effective, Monday, August 23, 2010, the Agency will begin the dismantling of the Bailey bridge located on piers of the collapsed Dry River Bridge in Harbour View, St. Andrew.

The dismantling activities are expected to be completed by the end of August 2010. The contractors awarded the contract for construction of the new Dry River Bridge, Kier Construction Limited, will be constructing a walk-way with rails along the Ford for use by pedestrians.

The NWA is also advising that pedal cyclists will have to use the Ford.

Motorists, pedestrians and cyclists are advised to obey posted warning signs and the instruction of flag persons.
