The National Works Agency (NWA) will commence a new round of hot mix patching in Clarendon this week. The Agency will be spending just under $10 million to patch main roads in the parish.

Manager of Communication and Customer Services at the National Works Agency, Stephen Shaw says approximately four thousand nine hundred square metres of patching will be undertaken in the parish. He says the road sections to be patched are Thompson Town to Victoria, Sour Sop Turn to Danks, May Pen to Sour Sop Turn, Danks to Mears Bridge, Grantham to Trout Hall, Free Town to Four Paths, Hayes to Dawkins Pen and Whitney Town to Four Paths.

Mr. Shaw says that patching under the Agency’s Routine Maintenance Programme was completed recently in St. Elizabeth and Manchester. The roads that were patched in St. Elizabeth are Pisgah to Ginger Hill, Lacovia to Mountainside and Claremont Park to Malvern Well. While in Manchester, roads that were patched include Oxford to Troy, Skull Point to Craighead and Mandeville to Rudd’s Corner.

The NWA is advising motorists to obey the instructions of flag persons and posted directional signs while patching is in progress along roadways in Clarendon.
