A Major road rehabilitation project valued at approximately ten point nine ($10.9) million dollars is now underway along the Paisely to Little Ease roadway in East Central St. James.

This project is being carried out by the National Works Agency (NWA) through funding made available from the Hon. Edmund Bartlett’s Constituency Development Fund allocation.

The NWA says that the project involves the rehabilitation of approximately one point five kilometers of the roadway, the construction of kerb and channel, cross drains, and culverts.

The reshaping and priming of the road surface is complete and cross drains have been constructed. The NWA will now proceed with the construction of other drainage structures, following which the roadway will be asphalted using Double Surface Dressing.

This project is expected to be completed within another four weeks and will greatly improve the ease with which motorists travel along this roadway.
