A tree cutting exercise that has been underway along the White River to St. Ann’s Bay roadway, over the last two weeks, will continue this weekend. Motorists and pedestrians are being advised to exercise caution while traversing the section of the roadway in the vicinity of Dunn’s River Falls and Mystic Mountain, as this is where this weekend’s activity will be concentrated. The exercise will be undertaken on Sunday, March 29, 2020 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Manager of Communication and Customer Services at the National Works Agency, Stephen Shaw says that this stretch of roadway has had incidents resulting from fallen branches in recent times. He says this exercise is intended to reduce these types of incidents and improve the overall safety of the corridor. The project which is valued at approximately $1.5 million dollars has already benefitted sections of the roadway between Reynolds Pier and Mystic Mountain.
