The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists that effective tomorrow, Wednesday, September 30, the Rosend main road, in St. Mary, will be reduced to single lane usage, for three weeks until the end of October. The roadway will be reduced to single lane usage in the vicinity of the intersection with the Parish Council road leading towards Islington.

The reduction of the roadway to single lane usage is to facilitate the construction of a large box culvert. This culvert will increase the capacity of river flow and reduce the likelihood of flooding of the roadway at that location.

The work forms part of Segment three of the North Coast Highway Improvement Project. It is being undertaken at a cost of just under 14 million dollars.

Motorists are advised to obey the instructions of flag persons and posted warning signs.
