The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists that the Spalding’s to Cave Valley main road, Clarendon, in the vicinity of the Aenon Town Bridge and the ‘Blue Marl’ Coffee Factory is impassable.

Heavy rainfall in the area during the past twelve hours resulted in the Alston River over flowing its banks, flooding the roadway.

Motorists should not attempt to use the corridor at this time as it is dangerous to do so.

The alternative route for motorists travelling from the direction of Spalding’s towards Cave Valley is Spalding’s to Frankfield onto Trout Hall and then Cave Valley. The reverse obtains for motorists travelling from the direction of Cave Valley towards Spalding’s.

The NWA is also advising that motorist await further updates on the state of the corridor before attempting to traverse it.
