The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists that a section of the Spaulding’s to Alston main road, Clarendon, will be temporarily reduced to single lane usage. The roadway will be reduced to single lane for the next four weeks in the community of Baillieston.

This is to facilitate the construction of a gabion wall through a $7.5 million contract at a breakaway that occurred along this section of the corridor recently. Motorists who use this roadway may experience delays during construction and may use the Baillieston Parish Council Road as an alternative route during the period of construction.

Motorists and other road users are urged to obey the instructions of flag persons and posted warning and directional signs.

The NWA apologises for any inconvenience caused and is seeking the cooperation of all persons who use this roadway during the period of construction.
