The National Works Agency is advising motorists that Broadgate main road, St. Mary, in the vicinity of Chovey, approximately 20 chains from the junction leading to Highgate is being closed this Sunday, July 22, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Closure of the roadway is to facilitate the laying of culvert pipes.
The alternative route for motorists traveling from Kingston towards Annotto Bay in St. Mary is Grande Hole, Scotts Hall, Rock River, Richmond, Clonmel, Chovey onto AnnottoBay.
Motorists traveling in the direction of Port Maria from Kingston, should travel to Grande Hole, through Scotts Hall, Richmond, Highgate and onto Port Maria. The reverse obtains for motorists traveling from these locations.
The NWA is advising motorists to obey posted warning signs and the instructions of flag persons.
