Dukharan Avenue, Dunrobin Avenue Intersection

The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists that, effective Monday, October 25, 2010, and extending for a period of four (4) weeks, the Dukharan Avenue/Dunrobin Avenue Intersection will be closed to vehicular traffic. The alternative route for Dukaran Avenue will be Lindsay Crescent.

Manager of Communication and Customer Services at the National Works Agency, Stephen Shaw, says the closure of this intersection is being done to facilitate earthworks for storm-water and sewer systems. These works, he says form part the major road improvement project currently underway along Washington Boulevard and Dunrobin Avenue, which will see the widening of the corridors from its existing two (2) lanes to six (6) lanes.

In the meantime, the NWA is advising motorists to proceed with caution and to obey the instructions of flag persons and posted warning signs, while earthworks are in progress at the Dukharan/Dunrobin Avenue Intersection. The intersection is expected to be re-opened on November 15, 2010.
