The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists that Liguanea Avenue in St. Andrew will be closed to vehicular traffic this Sunday, August 16, 2009, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
This temporary closure of Liguanea Avenue is to facilitate Microsurfacing of the roadway by the NWA.
Motorists may use the following alternative routes. Travelling from the direction of Half Way Tree or Papine towards Liguanea Avenue, they may use Sandy Park Lane, Richings Avenue, Paddington Terrace or Barbican Road. Motorists travelling from the direction of Liguanea Avenue towards Half Way Tree or Papine may also use these alternative routes.
The NWA is advising motorists to obey posted warning signs and the instructions of flag persons, while work is in progress on this roadway.
