The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists that the Luana to Tombstone main road in St. Elizabeth, will be closed temporarily, this Sunday, September 13, 2009, between the hours of 5 a.m. and 9 a.m.
The roadway will be closed in the vicinity of Baptist, to facilitate the laying of irrigation 200mm (8 inch) pipes across the roadway.
The alternative route during the period of closure, travelling from the direction of Santa Cruz towards Black River or Westmoreland is right turn at Middle Quarters Square, turn left at the PetCom Service Station at White Hall, then onto Baptist and back to Luana.
The reverse obtains travelling from the direction of Luana. Motorists are advised to obey the instructions of the police, flag persons and posted directional signs.
