Temporary Closure of Lunar Avenue in Harbour View St. Andrew, Extended

The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists and pedestrians that the temporary closure of Lunar Avenue in Harbour View, St. Andrew has been extended for one week, until Sunday March 13, 2011.

Closure of the roadway is to facilitate drainage and road construction works and allow for adequate concrete curing time. During the period of closure persons wishing to access east Harbour View can do so by way of Orion Avenue.

The NWA is also advising that the contractors will be carrying out paving works, today, Friday, March 11 and tomorrow, Saturday, March 12, 2011 along the newly constructed northern two-lane roadway which is located between the Harbour View round-a-bout and Dry River Bridge.

Motorists will be allowed to use the newly constructed paved lanes within two weeks to facilitate construction of the southern two-lanes between the round-a-bout and the new bridge.

These works forms part of the multi-million dollar Dry River Bridge Project and road construction works.

The NWA is advising motorists and pedestrians to obey all posted warning signs and the instructions of flag persons.
