The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists that the Middle Quarters main road in St. Elizabeth has been closed with immediate effect to facilitate emergency repairs to a retaining wall. The roadway will be closed over the next three days between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
During these three days the roadway will be reopened to vehicular traffic at 7 p.m.
The alternative route for motorists travelling from Santa Cruz towards Black River is Charley Gallant Corner, through Dunsdale onto the Middle Quarters round-a-bout. The reverse obtains for motorists travelling from Black River towards Santa Cruz.
The NWA is advising motorists to obey posted warning signs and the instructions of flag persons.
