Temporary Closure of a Section of the Ewarton to Mount Rosser Main Road, St. Catherine

The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists that a section of the Mount Rosser main road in St. Catherine will be reduced to single lane traffic on Good Friday, April 06, 2012 between 8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

The road will be reduced to single lane in the vicinity of “Man Bump” to facilitate the replacement of a culvert pipe. This has become necessary as the plastic pipes located beneath the roadway, which carries storm water has been burnt by vandals.

Motorists travelling towards Moneague, who wish to avoid the possibility of traffic delays may use the alternative route through Ewarton, Worthy Park, Thydixon, then onto Moneague. The reverse obtains for motorists travelling from the direction of Moneague towards Bogwalk.

The NWA is advising motorists to proceed with caution, obey posted warning signs and the instructions of flag persons.
