The National Works Agency will be reducing the use of the Mandela Highway between the Caymanas Crossing and Highway 2000 Off Ramp, for two days only, today, Wednesday, February 28 and tomorrow, Thursday March 1. The roadway will be reduced to single lane and will affect motorists travelling in the direction of Kingston and Spanish Town, between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. on both days.

The traffic changes are to facilitate road rehabilitation works along the highway by the contractors for Highway 2000, the French company, Bougynes Travaux Publics.

Motorists using the Mandela Highway while work is in progress are advised to proceed with caution and obey the instructions of the police and flag persons.

These improvement works are a part of the new traffic management plan being implemented to address traffic congestion in the Kingston Metropolitan Region.
