Traffic adjustment along Waterloo Road, St. Andrew

The National Works Agency is advising motorists that effective today, (August 26, 2009), the traffic lights positioned at the vicinity of the Mega Mart back entrance on Waterloo Road, will no longer be at this location. These lights have been removed and repositioned at Annette Crescent, located approximately 90 metres further north along Waterloo Road.

Manager of Communication and Customer Services at the National Works Agency, Stephen Shaw, says this minor adjustment in the traffic control system existing on Waterloo Road was necessary to facilitate the installation of new drainage systems along the approach road to the Waterloo Bridge. These works are expected to commence tomorrow (August 27, 2009) and will extend from the south abutment of the bridge, to Annette Crescent.

The National Works Agency apologizes for any inconvenience that the traffic adjustment might cause and advises that all other existing traffic arrangements along the corridor remain in effect.
