The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists to expect traffic delays along the Washington Boulevard/Dunrobin Avenue corridor, on Sunday (January 24, 2010). This as the Landline, Internet, Music and Entertainment company (LIME), in collaboration with the NWA, undertakes excavation works along a section of the roadway. The works, which will be carried out in the vicinity of the Red Hills Overpass (at the Washington Boulevard end), will be in progress between the hours 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Manager of Communication and Customer Services at the National Works Agency, Stephen Shaw, says the excavation works to be undertaken on the Washington Boulevard this Sunday, form part of the major road improvement project planned for the Washington Boulevard/Dunrobin Avenue corridor. This project which is expected to commence sometime next month (February 2010), will see the widening of the roadway from its existing two (2) lanes to six (6) traffic lanes.

The NWA is advising motorists to proceed with caution while travelling along the Dunrobin Avenue/Washington Boulevard corridor this Sunday, and to obey the instructions of flag persons, while excavation works are in progress.
