The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists who use the roadway leading to or exiting the Bog Walk Gorge in St. Catherine that they may experience delays along this corridor, starting tomorrow, Thursday, January 29. The delays are expected as contractors working on behalf of the agency will be carrying out drainage improvement work in the vicinity of the Angels community. Sections of the roadway will also be repaved.

Manger of Communication and Customer Services at the NWA, Stephen Shaw says the works will be undertaken over the next month and that aspects will be undertaken at nights in order to minimize the effects on motorists.

The works form part of a project being undertaken by the NWA through which the drainage system along the roadway is being improved. Sections of the Rio Cobre are also being de-silted and damaged walls repaired as part of the programme being financed through a US10 million dollar loan.
