The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists to expect traffic delays along Dunrobin Avenue this Sunday (September 6, 2009). This as the NWA, in collaboration with the National Water Commission (NWC), undertakes minor excavation works along the corridor, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Manager of Communication and Customer Services at the National Works Agency, Stephen Shaw, says the excavation works to be undertaken this Sunday form part of the major improvement project planned for the Washington Boulevard/Dunrobin Avenue corridor. This project will see the widening of the roadway from its existing two (2) lanes to six (6) lanes. Mr. Shaw says major civil works under this project are expected to commence before the end of this year.

In the meantime, the NWA is advising motorists to proceed with caution while travelling along the Dunrobin Avenue/Washington Boulevard corridor this Sunday, and to obey the instructions of flag persons and posted warning signs, while excavation works are in progress.
