The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising the public to exercise caution in the vicinity of the Dunrobin Avenue / Lindsay Crescent intersection, in Kingston, as the traffic signal is currently out of service. The outage is as a result of a motor vehicle accident on Sunday, April 26, 2026, which caused damage to the traffic signal controller and associated cables.
The agency has since mobilised to replace the damaged parts and will begin testing of the infrastructure today, April 27, 2026. Repairs to the damaged cables are also underway. The repairs are scheduled to be completed by the afternoon of Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at which time the traffic signals will be recommissioned.
The NWA is reminding motorists that no one has the right of way at the intersection where the signal is inoperative, and all motorists should proceed only when it is safe to do so.
