The National Works Agency is advising that a section of the main road from Tranquility to Bangor Ridge in Portland will be reduced to single lane traffic on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. The section of roadway was severely compromised after fire burnt a piped culvert along the corridor.
Manager of Communication and Customer Services at the NWA, Stephen Shaw says that the traffic changes will be implemented to facilitate the replacement of the damaged culvert.
Mr. Shaw says that the reduction in the flow of traffic will take place between the hours of 9am to 4pm.
He is advising that in the interim, the corridor should not be used by heavy duty vehicles, especially loaded trucks, until the works are completed.
