The National Works Agency along with the Ministry of Transport and Works will be constructing a four lane bridge to replace the existing Upper Waterloo Road Ford. During the first phase of construction single lane traffic will be accommodated at the Ford as follows: - Southbound Traffic: One-way movement will occur between the hours of 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Mondays to Fridays - Alternative Route: During the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. northbound traffic should proceed west along West Kings House Road, north along Constant Spring Road, then east along Shortwood Road - North bound one-way movement across the Ford on Upper Waterloo Road will occur between the hours of 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays to Fridays - Alternative Route: During the hours of 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. southbound traffic should proceed west along Shortwood Road, then south along Constant Spring Road Two-way movement across the Ford will be allowed during the off peak periods and will be controlled by vehicle actuated traffic signals. Construction is expected to commence in early June and this first phase is for a duration of three months. Motorists are advised to obey the instructions of flag persons and warning signs that will be posted during this period.
